             Istanbul: An exquisite meeting place

Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge

Often called . the city of harmonious contrasts., Istanbul blends east and west, past and present, land and sea, continuity and change, tradition and technology, nature and thriving city life.

Byzantium, Constantinople, Istanbul..
Three names that span three thousand years of history and two of the greatest empires the world has ever seen. The only city set on two continents, Europe and Asia, Istanbul symbolizes the continuity of civilization over the millennia.

The seat of  power for two world dynasties, byzantine and Ottoman, combines the splendor of nobility with the charm of local folklore.  The city has always been at the crossroads of civilizations and is a confluence of peoples, cultures and religions which have coexisted in peace and harmony over centuries.

Set in one of the most beautiful natural surroundings in the world, the city stretches on seven majestic hills, along the shores of the Bosphorus, one of the most enchanting stretches of water in the world.

Sultanahmet Mosque

The splendors of its glorious past and the genuine traditions of Turkish hospitality combine with modern amenities to make Istanbul a perfect meeting place, one that will impress treasured and lasting memories.

People visited since October 26, 2000.
